Semester Final; 3D Art

In 3D art we did mostly clay. I learned how to wheel throw and how to add a trimmed foot. I had a lot of fun with wheel throwing. I also really liked glazing and painting the final projects. Next semester I would like to continue using clay, but maybe doing some sculptures with other material. My least favorite project was the hump and slump. Maybe it's because I did terrible on mine but I didn't enjoy making them at all. My favorite project was the slab vessel. I liked it because you could do anything you wanted to. Some people did a box, or a different type of container. Overall, I liked most of the projects we have done. I really like glazing and splatter painting with glaze.

Wheel Throwing

1.) These were my wheel throwing pieces. Just used clay, and some clay tools.
2.) I used a lot of different colors... I tried some new things as well.
3.) I learned how to do a trimmed foot
4.) I am most proud of my glazing jobs on all of them.
5.) I am least proud of one of the second one because the handle came off. :(

Thanks Shelby for photo bombing.

Semester Test Final; Intro To Art

I learned a lot this first semester. From the basics to expressing myself through art. I learned about shading and about value and form. My favorite project was the zentangle, and blobs. I like them both because they are both a doodle type of art. I also did enjoy the pastel but I would of liked to do a more free-hand drawing with pastels. My least favorite project was the basquiat, it was fun but I didn't just enjoy is as much as some of the other projects. I did like the idea of expressing yourself through art with that project.  I would like to work with sketching next semester and more free hand with different materials. Such as paint, pastel, etc. I don't like having a subject and looking at it and having to draw it. I overall have liked most of the projects we have done in this class. They all have been fun and some more challenging than others.

Slab

1.) Its a slab, and you have to take a giant slab of clay and make something out of it. I used clay, a water bottle, a plastic bag, and a needle tool. There is a lid on the table next to the slab.
2.) I have different colors, and the texture is different. The top is point.
3.) I learned on how to add a lid
4.) I am most proud of the quality of the piece
5.) I am least proud of the paint job

Noah likes to be in pictures.

Multilayer

1.) This was a wheel thrown piece.
2.) I used my sponge idea with glaze and it created a really cool color. The texture is smooth
3.) I learned more about my new sponge idea. I also learned which colors go better together.
4.) I am most proud of how good it looks and my glaze jobs.
5.) I am least proud of the bottom because it is kind of jagged.

Nice Noah... nice. :P

Balloon animals

1.) These are miniature animals. I just used clay. I used a needle tool and some cutting utensils.
(Bunny and pig)
2.) Color. They are both very colorful
3.) I learned about how to make sure that pieces stick together.
4.) I am most proud of my bunny
5.) I am least proud of my pig.

P.S. A special thanks goes to Noah for being the best photo bomber.

Slump

1. I used clay, and acrylic paint. I used a plate to create the slump effect.
2.) Color and texture. I had lots of color.
3.) I learned a new way of painting. I used a sponge and it made a cool texture. I used it for some of my other projects too. Its a new trend :)
4.) I am most proud of the painting job and my new idea
5.) I am least proud of the quality of the slump itself

p.s. Thank you Noah for photo bombing. :)
